  • VR test 01 - Tapas Bar

    Hi All,

First of all, as a long time Vray and Octane user, I haven't seen lighting this good and responsive since the early days of Lightscape.

What started out as a 'quick and dirty' test is turning into quite a fun little project! And also taking forever for me to complete. =)

I just really love the ease of use of FStorm, but most of all the sensitivity of the lighting is insane! The shadows and tones are just incredible.

There was an image dimension limit for uploading, so here is a link to my Work In Progress Stereo VR Image.

I will continue to work on this, but for now check it out if you have a VR system.

    best,
    O

This took approximately 20 minutes (2048 samples) on a quad TitanX workstation.

Looks promising, maybe a little bit brighter, less muddy colors and more contrast, but it appears quite crisp. btw. this is Hamburg, but the building you are showing next to "Rathausmarkt" doesn´t exist or do I have a reality distortion?! Would be nice to have Restaurant like that, little bit like "Atelier F" in the neighborhood.

        Hey Fritz,

This is straight out of Fstorm with no colour correction or post.

Ha, this building does not exist. It is a building from a US project, that I placed into a Dosch HDRI. I've been trying to figure out where in the world this was for a long time.

        Thanks!

        best,
        O
