(Graphics card connected to my macmini via eGPU setup as shown in photo so maybe a little slower render time due to thunderbolt 1 throughput limitations. Took some figuring out how to do and looks a bit ghetto, but for testing purposes of this awesome render it works a treat!)

Hi Shopkeeper, I remember discussion about this card or 970. Great to hear all working and thats a really good result also has a lot of headroom if OC it. Congrats and doesn't look too ghetto.
Thanks adams! It was great to get advice from you on the matter. The GPU is surprisingly quiet and has been running very stable at a low temperature.
I am really excited to have got it all working. Not done any rendering in over 10 years but Fstorm has rekindled my interest and am looking forward to creating some projects I have had on the back-burner.
Guys I saw the result for the GTX1060 here and It's slower than my GTX970, so I'm a little bit confused since the final version of cuda 8 is released and It should be faster than kepler tech now, or maybe fstorm is more optimised for kepler than pascal?
I'm thinking about upgrading my gpu and buy a gtx1070 wich is slightly faster than mine. I guess it's all about vram for now...
