  • Rendering issue with SmoothGroups and Chamfer modifier

    A kind of distance limit of the smoothing groups calculation, depending from view orientation. See chamfers on pics below.

    (pic1) The "artifact" doesn't occur without smooth groups.

      what is your material settings? looks like a flipped normals with no double side option in fstorm material.

        Default settings, Normals not flipped, no double side. Same with no material, primitive box with chamfers. See vid.

          Well, this is an example of bad geometry modelling. You can't assign smoothing like this.

              Same with box + turbosmooth... Only the view distance/angle change to see the issue, but still occurs.


              So what is 'the good geometry modeling"?
