  • Texture do not appear in the Viewport

    Hi all,

I have a problem in the display of textures in the viewport. The button indicating such action is frozen.

In the viewport I can display only the color used to diffuse. But the applied texture never appears and I cannot even enable such action.
This is a bug, or occurs only with me?

Alright, so I have to test on a standard material for mapping, and before this, apply the fstorm material? How you do for your scenes?
      Thanks!

Sorry my english, i'm brazilian with poor english

I use RT view to show textures and materials

Ok, I'll try this. I think my Video Card are not "good", because my RTs renderings are some slow, but I gone see the textures based on that.
          Thaks again.

Reduce render samples to 100 during working. Up for rendering.

Don't try to click on that icon when the FStormMaterial is active, click (activate) the FStormBitmap window where the texture is and then you can turn on the viewport mode.

It's impossible to show bitmap with ColorCorrection or Output and any other bitmap modifier applied...

                Anyway thanks for tips.

                  Hey all,

Sylk, I think you don't understand my problem or I cannot discribe correctly.

I reset 3ds max and the problem as solved. The texture (Fstorm Bitmap) doesn't appear yesterday.
The button on Material Editor for demonstrate the base texture on viewport was grey/freeze. Before I reset the Max, the problem was gone.

Now I can see the base texture, for mapping. I understand the dirt, mix and etc. materials doesn't appear, but yesterday the base map was the problem.

                  Thanks for the replies.

My last post was adressed to Piera.
I simply thought that, for now, we could not show textures in viewport with FStorm. I was wrong.

Only FStormBitmap texture can be shown in 3ds max viewport.

Did you plan to make other fs maps visible too?

Like noise, color correction, output, gradient...

Ok show base texture is sufficient to mapping, but show alterations applied to this base texture with color correction or output would be useful too.

Noise is a procedural texture. It can't be shown properly on 3ds max viewport.
color correction and output just change base texture which can be any.
gradient can be shown in 3ds max viewport. I will implement it.
