  • MultiScatter FStormProxy Crash

I'm doing an animation of a subject. Afterwards i export the animation as an FStormProxy. When i scatter the proxy and try to render, 3ds max crashes. What am i doing wrong? Or is it an issue with animated FStormProxy?

    Thank you,
    Marusya

Did you guys worked out whats was wrong ?
Cuz I'm fighting now with same issue of max crashing with lots of FstormProxy instances.
The proxy file is huge about 2Gb
But when scattering SAME proxy file with SAME amount of copies with MultiScatter it works just fine and eats a lot less memory!
I'm actually using the MultiScatter tool to convert it to instances so it's exactly same things but out of MultiScatter, and then causes the crash.
        Fstorm v1.1.6

Have you set instance option in fstorm object properties for all instances out of MultiScatter?

You are right that's the thing!

Since the help is not available now, can you please shortly describe the need to have it like that, so if I have the instanced copies, but instance is unchecked in object properties it's gonna treat it as unique objects anyway ? Why we can do it automatically ? Like Vray.
            Thanks.
