  • Procedural Tile Map

Hello! It would be great if FStorm had something similar to Bercontiles. I looked around the native FStorm maps and couldn't find anything similar and haven't seen this requested before (apologies if it has). I know there is Geopattern which can be used in some of these cases, but sometimes it's really nice to quickly generate procedural tile maps for a variety of tasks.

For example I just used BerconTiles to create a displacement pattern for 'X' shaped permeable pavers, and then used a modified instance of that map to drive a forest pack distribution of grass in between pavers. Very handy.

    Thanks for your time!

Hi. I will implement some kind of tiles texture in the future.
FP doesn't work with FStorm textures any way and uses only standard textures, so I think you can use BerconTiles with FP anyway.

Thanks for the response Karba. Great to hear you're considering a tiles texture. And thanks for the pointer on using non-Fstorm compatible maps in FP, never would have thought of that.

      Cheers
