  • Tone Mapping for Render Elements

Hi Andrey! Thanks a lot for last updates you did in fstorm. Awesome!
Would be great to have the option to apply tone mapping settings to the render elements.
Now it is applied only to the beauty pass. When you try to compose layers in photoshop or nuke, they look very different from the beauty pass coz they don`t have this tone mapping on them.
    Like an option.

    Hi

You can't combine render elements properly with tonemapping applied. Render elements have to be in linear space.

But it would be great to have an option to turn it on and off. Coz sometimes you need it.

Hi Andrey! It`s me again ))
Well, i think i need to ask for this small feature again. I know it`s a standard to work in liniar without any tonemapping applied. That`s true. But we need to have an option to have tone mapping applied to the all render elements as well.
Here is a quick example. If you have some very hot overblown highlights, you can`t handle it well in photoshop or nuke even if you have 32bit and aces. It make your image look different with some exposure tweaking and stuff. And production renders like Vray or Corona have this feature. You can apply tone mapping to all you render elements there. This is VERY useful thing for production/compositing.

Also i think it would be pretty logical. If you don`t want any tone mapping applied to your render, you pick Linear. And you work with it.
But if you pick Simple or Reinhard, it means that you want to use tone mapping. And you want it to be applied to all the render elements, isn`t it?
So i assume it would be really cool to have it implemented.
And thanks a lot for your work!
