well the thing is now I can select a standard camera and convert it to Fstorm, and create an Fstorm camera from view with just hitting a shortcut or clicking the button, besides it let me select the active camera to change parameters etc, without having to leave the view
what I'm doing in order of priority is 1: in case you have a standard camera selected, convert it to Fstorm, 2:in case you are in a perspective view, create an Fstorm camera from it, 3: in case you are in an orthographic view start an Fstorm camera creation, 4: in case you are in a camera view, it select the active camera
I'm working with some shoots now with multiples cameras and I have used it with no errors until now at least haha, but if you can see it or correct some mistake or redundancy on my part I will appreciate it
I did a script to create camera from viwport and to convert a standard camera to fstorm, but any time I try to up load it here it give me an error, I don't know why, it's just some a few kb
thanks! very handy, just control +C and that's it?
well first you have to go to customize and assign the "control + c" shortcut to the script, and then that's it... it will tell you that the shortcut is already in use, you can do it any way and then create Fstorm cameras by default, or you can assign it another shortcut

anyway it should be fairly easy to do, just do a render check first and in case you are NOT using fstorm as defautl render, create a standard camera, in case you are, then run the script
No, Standard cam is also useful with fstorm. You can't force to change renderer to use it. And you suggest to assign shortcut ctrl+c to script, so careful.

ha I see, yes it's a valid point, but I never suggested him to do it, he asked me #21 and I told him how, but I am keeping cont + c for standard camera myself
hey Silk, I have a second keyboard for After Effects, and have some keys left without assigned functions, I have tried to assign 3ds functions to it but it doesn't work, what could be missing there?
just to test I have assigned commands for Photoshop, AIMP and even MS Outlook without trouble, but with 3ds max I don't know what is happening

I assume your keyboard use a software to configure keys and detect opened app. If you can add custom apps, add 3dsmax.exe. Otherwise need more details of what you use.

no, it let me configure the keys but no idea in how detect which program is opened, what it actually do is to give each keyboard a specific id and assign the functions of the program that you want... well any program but 3ds!
