  • Animation render settings

Hi. I am new to Fstorm so dont have much experience yet with render settings etc.

What settings is a good choice for an interior animation. It is a shot of a dinning table with tableset included.

I am rendering on a single Titan X Paschal. I tried out with 1280 pixels wide but it took like 20 min. per frame. So thinking i am in a need to adjust some render settings to bring down time.

    My current settings is:
    Render samples: 4000
    Lightsamples: 4
    Ray threshold: 0,01mm
    Max depth: 8
    Mat preview samples: 32
    GI clamp: 5
    Noise threshold: 0,01
    Min. samples: 5%

    Hi,

usually you can decrease render samples for non static animations.
    Software: FStormRender: 1.5.0h | Drivers NV: 456.71 | 3dsMax: 2020.3 | Windows: 10 x64
    Hardware: Gpu: GTX1080 Phoenix GLH | Cpu: i7-2600k@4.5GHz | Ram: 16GB | SSD: Samsung 860 Pro

I would increase noise threshold to 0.02 or even higher.
and decrease gi clamp until overall brightness gets darker.

Thanks for Comments both of you. I will give it a try.

Andrey will you still decrease render samples as Sylk suggest?

I tried reducing the render samples too and I think I receive a ok result. And I am down to 4 min. per image.
