    Hi Dron,
could you please show us how to optimize this scene?
Is there room for improvement left?

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

I would set light samples to 4 and GI clamp to 0.1

noise threshold 0.05 is too high. It is too noisy. I would decrease it to 0.01.

Can you upload the benchmark scene in .max format again? I would like to try it out!
        Thanks.

I'm not sure if you want more info than whats in the manual or not. But this is what the manual has to say.

GI clamp cut ray brightness if it is too high. It mostly affects diffuse and low glossy surfaces and keep highlights. This is a good way to fight hot pixels. Too small value may lead to overal brightess reducing.

Hi Rob, can you share the outcome here, before and after optimization? would love to see the difference especially in the GI clamp acpect. Thank you.

Here you can download the scene. It was converted from Corona to Octane and then to FStorm. So probably some materials are not correct.
I used portals in all openings. To come close to the Corona reference I had to lower the camera contrast to 0.

                Feel free to optimize it!

By lowering the GI Clamp the render cleans up really fast! But it also darkens the output quite a bit...

                  GI Clamp 1

ic... It does look darker a bit. But at least the hot spot area is not over exposed.

What hardware are you running to get these times Rob? Cheers for this thread
