  • FStormRender for 3ds Max v1.1.2b (updated 22/01/2017)

    Changes:
    shadow catcher (matte option in FStorm material)
    reventing black ies look from side view (min value in ies settings)
    global displacement switcher (render settings)
    rounded edges speedup.

    Bug fixes:
    incorrect shadows from transparent objects.
    clamped colors in production render.
    sss material causes gpu crash
    incorrect motion blur with camera correction.

    This build requires 3ds Max version 2014 - 2017, GPU with CUDA support and compute model 2.0 or higher. https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus

    Thanks Karba, the "matte" option's quite useful.
    But would anyone tell me what's exactly this new feature about : "preventing black ies look from side view (min value in ies settings)"?

      some directional ies may look black from certain angles. you can limit minimal power to some value to avoid black look.

                Thanks for your work!
                I have troubles with the render elements. I think it is some kind of bug. When i use different z-depth elements with different ranges simultaneously i receive only one range for all elements. which i choose for the last. For example if I choose 3 z-depth channels: 1. 0-5000cm, 2. 0-2500cm, 3. 2500-5000cm. On the render i get only 2500-5000cm for each. i hope it is clear for you.

                  FStorm doesn't support several copies of render elements with the same type.
